Muscle Monday : Loco Mike Mason

Making his first appearance here on Beefcakes of Wrestling is Loco Mike Mason from London, England. Mason made his wrestling debut in 2011 after training at The London School of Lucha Libre. He stands 5 ft. 8 in. tall and weighs 210 pounds. Mason has wrestled for various promotions like Future Pro Wrestling, Southside Wrestling Entertainment, IronFist Pro, and Lucha Britannia, just to name a few. He was also Pride Wrestling's Heavyweight World Champion at one time. Click here to see him in action against fan favourite Grado in a match from two years ago (his other matches on YouTube are not for the faint of heart).  What do you think of Mike Mason?

  1. Mike Mason doesn't do much for me. Looking at his pix causes me to want to get in the shower and wash myself off, head to foot.

I am looking for the birth year of Joe Coleman, who appeared with much promise in BCoW 12/9/03, 3/1/04, 4/11/04, & 5/1/04, and then dropped out of sight. He was born 8/6/???? It's the ???? I need help with. Thanks TT

    1. I couldn't find a birth year or any indication of age. He studied Business Marketing at Eastern Michigan University. If he uses his real name and is an alumnus, you might get a clue there.

Do you mean just that he dropped out of sight here? Because he had an XCIW match in Detroit last night.

    2. Yes, here. I should have been more clear. Thanks for the E MI tip. TT

    4. This year he's likely to be at "Yack Attack" Comic Con in Detroit for his birthday. He's a big comics fan. There will be wrestling, but I can't determine if he'll be on the card.

If you can get there you can ask him you self! 😉

    6. I just tried to Tweet and ask him when he was born. Not sure if it was sent successfully.

    7. Success on the third attempt! Yippee!

      I hope I get a reply.

    8. "Attack at the Yack" will be a handicap match vs. former partner Idris Abraham and former manager Mark Gjoka. They beat him on July 9.

Revenge, Joe! Give yourself a birthday present.

  2. He just needs to give his beard a trim and I'm fine with him.

    1. I just wish there were such a thing as a tatoo-eraser spray. I know others feel otherwise, but doing so much work to build and maintain a body like that and then covering it with ink doesn't make sense to me. Anon.

    2. So? All the wishing won't make anyone's ink go away or keep anyone from getting tattoos. What's the point of bitching about them? Get over it tat-haters! Move on to something else. I'm getting tired of hearing the whining whoever a guy with them appears.

BTW, I have none. Want only one, ever, but doubt I'll get it.

    3. Don't know about that. Someone may invent one and make a bundle. Anon.

    4. Well, I'm a "tat-hater" and proud of it. I agree with Anon.

Anyone who scars up half their torso is simply a nut case in my book.

And I'll "bitch" about it whenever I like.

I normally keep my thoughts to myself, out of respect for other readers - but since Tablettes wants to make this an issue, I have no problems replying to his abrasive assertion.

    5. It's the rar-haters who keep raising the matter. Over and over! I'm just sick of hearing about it. You should respect that we don't agree. And never will. So, move past it to things that your view can affect.

It's much the same thing with the people who can't let go of long hair or ANY beards, not just ratty ones like Mike's.

Repeating an opinion ad nauseum doesn't make it interesting.

    6. I'm sorry that this blog about muscle men in tights is making you sick. Since you believe that you are sick, perhaps you should pursue professional help with your issues.

As for me, I am perfectly fine continuing as I always have - keeping my thoughts about tattoos mostly to myself, out of sincere respect for the varied tastes of my fellow blog readers.

      Peace.

    7. Promise?

And groaners about being sick don't advance the discussion.

Listen, it not the opinions. Chacun à son gout. Or even expressing them. It's the constant and unnecessary repetition.

It's like political ads. Agree or disagree, an ad seen occasionally or in moderation is tolerable. But the frequent airing soon makes even ads for candidates or issues you agree with tiresome.

And again, what's the point? Despite what anyone might say, Mason has tattoos and will continue to have tattoos, some will regard them with disgust, others admiration. Others whether wearing tights or having large muscles or not, have them, will get them or get more. But why harp about it either way?

More's ink may disturb you as some kind of defacement or desecration, but it's his choice.

Oddly enough, I just read a reputable article that archaeologists have data that the oldest tools known in the record were used for tattooing.

And cultures around the world practice the art. Sophicated. Or unsophisticated.

    8. Let me know explain:

It hit just More. Every time a wrestler with a tattoo appears here we get a chorus of he ruined his body, he'd be attractive, but.... And the guy doesn't even need to have extensive tattoos. Just a modest pectoral will suffice to start the comments.

I see a fair number of wrestlers, bodybuilders, fitness models, and other athletes with them on my Timeline. It's inevitable that someone has to say how awful it is.

It didn't help that today there was an Image of a fitness model, muscular but not huge that evoked another irritating motif. He must use steroid and so has small nuts. A myth, by the way. His body was moderate, so it's more likely the result of good genes and hard work (there were very muscular guys before steroids that I've seen photos from the 19th C.). There were easily a half dozen comments in that vein. Why someone with that kind of attitude would follow a site where seeing muscular guys is inevitable, I don't know.

But it made me more sensitive to that kind of judgement than usual. Thus my occasional mini-rant on the topic, not just here but on other blogs, but others.

    9. Tattoos suck, tell two friends!

    10. Now, now, JM, don't pour oil on the fire. And I've said before, a well-placed tattoo or two can be attractive. OTOH, if we are presented with a wrestler, and our opinions are generally solicited on those occasions, I will give my opinion. I understand that others disagree (obviously the owner/canvas), and that's just fine. Anon.

  3. Unimpressed.

A pathetic waste of good potential.

  4. I can't get past the beard. What's with the hipster-Grizzly-Adams look these days? For me, at least, it's a real turn-off.

  5. Oh wow, there is no questioning this is a real man. I too prefer less tatts, less beard, but he definitely does things for me.

Lovin that racy last photo. On closer inspection, the critical side of me isn't as impressed, but he is definitely a sexual being. Grrr.

I think Davey is only 200 lbs. It's amazing how far 10 lbs in all the right places goes. Well it may just be the new meat factor too.

    1. On second look, that 2nd pic ... now those are the legs of a superhero. Good grief, is that rubber or latex? I'm guessing he doesn't wrestle in that, but would love to see it.

And in the 2nd to last pic (#10) who is the equally beefy dominator manhandling this epitome of a man? I am grateful for those chinese deltoid tattoos as they'll make for easier identification. Any ideas anyone?

    2. Google Image Search: Adam Jone.

Though otherwise the only pro wrestler I can find by that name is an African-American. But the captioned picture is clear.

    6. I'm guessing there's some crossover. That the burlesque show found them and asked them to be in the show.

I found these photos of the wrestler under Mike's IG page. Mike is wrestling in his lucha libre persona El Perro Loco. It may possibly be from Lucha Brittania:

Also, not quite related, here's a pic of Mike getting quite a masculine kiss in the middle of the ring. It would make a good "Caption This" pic:
