V For Vendetta

On July 28 in Lancaster, two indie federations in the UK pro wrestling scene faced each other to determine who is the best in the North West. Wrestlers from XWA battled wrestlers from GPW in a show called "Vendetta." One of the matches featured the so-called "Baby Jesus of Wrestling" Rockstar Spud (XWA) versus Kris Travis (GPW). Rockstar won the match with a top rope flying elbow. At the end of the night, team GPW won the contest. (Photos by Tony Knox)

Ryback Wrecks Reks

This match between Ryback (formerly Skip Sheffield) and Tyler Reks was televised on WWE a couple of weeks ago, but I thought it was worth revisiting. Watching beefcake Reks being demolished by  Ryback...priceless. (Missed the match on Smack Down? Watch it here.)

The Ice Pick Cometh

It's vacation time! Yup, I'm taking a four day break starting tomorrow so this will be my last post until Sunday. But it's a doozy of a post...no less than one of my favorite wrestlers here on Beefcakes, Ice Pick Vic Capri. These amazing photos were taken by regular contributor Jim from Chicago when he attended a Chicago Style Wrestling show held on July 13.  Vic lost the match to his opponent, a scary thug named Ripper Manson. Jim says that "after his victory, Ripper further humiliated the muscleman by choking him with a chain." Poor Ice Pick! Thanks for the great work, Jim! (Oh, and I just want to welcome the newest followers of this blog. We're now up to 280 and I hope that number keeps growing.)

From Ohio To Florida

Remember Ohio Valley Wrestling muscleman Marcus Anthony? After his defeat in a Loser Leaves Town match, 6 ft., 248 pound Marcus moved to Florida and now goes by the name Lincoln Broderick. Actually, he was signed up by Florida Championship Wrestling (Is FCW still a developmental territory of WWE?). Anyway, regular Beefcakes of Wrestling contributor David took these recent photos of Marcus...I mean, Lincoln in a lumberjack match. David tells me that Lincoln has been working security at FCW shows, but often gets in on the action as well. Thanks for these amazing shots, David!
