Ananzi

There was a post on this blog the other day that featured a photo of Brett Idol (wrestling as Richy Rich) and Max-A-Million in a tag team match with The South African Connection, Jason Steele (featured on this blog last week) and Ananzi. So just who is this Ananzi anyway? Born in Johannesberg, South Africa, he's the nephew of a famous pro wrestler there by the name of Danie Voges. Ananzi made his pro debut in 2000 and is a multi-time All-Africa Champion and head of the Ananzi Punishment Wrestling Academy. He's also the founder of the African Punishment Wrestling Association (APWA). Ananzi retired from pro wrestling this year to focus on his wrestling academy.
