I only learned about the death of wrestler Mike Graham while surfing the web today. Even though I didn't know a lot about Graham, I remember seeing many photos of him in wrestling magazines from the 1970s-1980s. Here's the report from ewrestlingnews.com: "
Michael Gossett, professionally known as Mike Graham, passed away Friday (Oct. 19) at the age of 61. He was in Daytona Beach, Florida for Biketoberfest and his wife found him deceased. Additional details concerning his death have not been released.Graham is the son of late Championship Wrestling from Florida promoter Eddie Graham. He began his wrestling career in 1972 in the promotion and competed through the early 1990s for various leagues, including the American Wrestling Association and World Championship Wrestling. He continued to work for WCW through 2000 as an agent and trainer."

ReplyDeleteRIP, Mike
(He was born in 1971?)
Oops, that's a typo error. It should have read 1951. Thanks for pointing it out to me.
DeleteI have family in Daytona Beach. Mike was born in 1951, and like his father, battled alcoholism. Numerous sources claim Mike committed suicide, like his father before him.
ReplyDeleteHe shot himself.

How tragic. Thanks for the link.
DeleteThanks for posting this item ... I had not heard this sad news previously.
ReplyDeleteI remember watching this guy in those Florida rings all those years ago before I knew terms like muscleBear, beefcake, hot cub or any of the vernacular that comes so easy these days but all of those and many more apply to Mike Grahamn. He and his father were easily both hot men in and out of the ring...
