Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird. It's a plane. No, it's...Nightclaw? When did Brian Cage dress up as a superhero named Nightclaw? I did a little research and according to his Wikipedia page, "during his time with Florida Championship Wrestling (circa 2008), Cage came up with a new character, Nightclaw. The Nightclaw character was seen in a few matches and was supposed to be used during the time that (wrestler) Hurricane was still active in WWE. However, this did not occur as Cage was eventually released from his contract in mid September 2009 for unknown reasons." What do you think of this Cage persona? With the massive popularity of superhero movie franchises (like The Wolverine whom Cage seems to be channeling here), is it time for our hero to don some tights?
Or should he keep this look?
He should definitely keep to the minimalist look and wear as little as possible. He is a superb man with a superb body. He'd still look superb and handsome fully naked, which is more than can be said for most of us. Why hide it under ridiculous, albeit fun, fancy dress?
ReplyDeleteAgree with Max! I really didn't want to be the one to "poo poo" anything that's different or creative, and I don't mind gimmicks at all, but Brian Cage? Can't hide all that!
ReplyDeleteMax has said it very well. I don't even like wrestlers with great bodies wearing long tights or even the "boxer" type. Minimilist is the only way to go. Brian Cage, Jesse Godderz, Chris Masters, Cody Rhodes, Justin Gabriel all look fantastic in as little as possible. Let's keep it that way.
ReplyDeleteMoreover... Brian should take his cue from Clay Moore. He looks great all the time, even fully clad, but how much better he looks now that he's switched to brief white trunks for wrestling. One day John Cena will get the message too (at least I hope so)!
ReplyDeleteCena's just being so cruel with those shorts...
DeleteI think that you're right. There are a few photos around of Cena in micro-briefs from his bodybuilding days, but not many. I really hate those shorts. He says that they wear well and do not have to be replaced as often as trunks, but surely money isn't a problem for him? However... Cena has "pantsed" (pulled off the trunks) of a few wrestlers in his time. Randy Orton is one. Serve him right if one day he gets pantsed himself and we get to see him in all his glory. Hope I'm there to see it.
DeleteI had a storyline for a situation like this, which will probably never happen (too erotic probably lol), but would be SUPERhot, pun intended:
ReplyDeleteBrian Cage keeps his current minimalist outfit, but adds spandex sleeves, gloves, a cape, a mask, his gimmick is a masked superhero face... Nightclaw! He fights against the ruling heel stable, always appearing to save jobbers/other faces from the heels... the heels occasionally almost beat him, but they never manage to, and we never see him unmasked... Nightclaw even develops a relationship with one of the heels' unwilling babes...
At the end however, the heels' stable lays a trap for Nightclaw, with the love interest as the bait... he gets ambushed by 3-4 heels all at once, the babe is forced to watch alongside the audience as Nightclaw is battered, tortured, his outfit rip/stripped down... finally, Nightclaw is handcuffed up to the ropes, and is forcibly demasked... from there, he can either be taken back to the heels' locker to be tortured further, or maybe the faces he's saved from before bust in to save him for a change... what you think?
