Sad news for fans of Davey Richards. Richards recently said on social media that "2017 is the last year. Been incredible and wouldn't change a thing." Sounds like Richards is retiring from pro wrestling after 2017. Perhaps he wants to focus on being a new dad and being a firefighter, paramedic, and pre med student. Oh well, we still get to see him in the ring for a whole year. Thanks for the great ride, Davey!

Great collection of photos Bruno. Glad you included that jockstrap one. Wow he's a firefighter/paramedic/pre-med? Maybe he's training to be a superhero.
ReplyDeleteHe will definitely not be forgotten, especially not the way I dream ;)
Wow, as if he weren't hot enough. Makes you want to move into his district and have a heart attack.
ReplyDeleteWatching Davey Richards's matches was what got me back into watching pro wrestling and searching for videos online. Anon.
A heart attack would be more than I could ask for or deserve, so I'll settle for a colonoscopy--a thorough inspection, please! TT
ReplyDeleteBottom line is that Davey knows the skill of pro wrestling about as well as anyone does. He simply knows his shit. Then you add the hotness factor, which, at least for me, is huge, and the awesome sweat factor -- the guy could work up a sweat walking to the ring -- and you have a classic pro worker. He may be leaving, but he's leaving never having given less than 150% in the ring every match. Great run. (And it ain't over quite yet!)
ReplyDeleteAnother hot fireman/paramedic/doctor/wrestler ... just what the world needs now.
ReplyDeleteAs I recall, he said the same thing a few years back when he was in RoH. I can only hope he will again reconsider and keep on wrestling.
ReplyDeleteDavey Richards is a class act. He's made history, and will be sorely missed.
ReplyDeleteOn one hand, I am disappointed he gave up his sexy tights and put on long pants. On the other hand, I am happy there are still YouTube and other videos of him in all his awesome glory!
