Fans of Mexico's lucha libre scene may be familiar with a wrestler named La Sombra (in English, The Shadow; he appeared in a couple of Body Shots features on this blog in the past). Not only was La Sombra big in Mexico, but he also wrestled for the esteemed promotion New Japan Pro Wrestling from 2010 to 2105. On November 2015, the 5'11", 180 lb. native of Durango signed to WWE's developmental territory NXT where he wrestled as Manny Andrade. A month later, he was given the new ring name Andrade "Cien" Almas (In English, cien is hundred, almas is souls). He defeated Ty Dillinger in his official debut match on June 8, 2016. Now 27 years old, it's astonishing to think Almas made his pro debut in Mexico 14 years ago when he was just about to turn 14! Learn more about his amazing career by going to his Wikipedia page.
I've never seen a wrestler do this before!
He is incredibly cute. And has a good sense of balance going by those last pics! Amazing that he started out so young, but it looks like he's a legacy, so it's a little more understandable.
