Remember back in 2015 when Stephen Amell, the lead actor of the TV series Green Arrow, stepped into a WWE ring and wrestled in a tag team (with Neville, formerly known as PAC) against Cody Rhodes (as Stardust) and Wade Barrett? Amell was featured in another pro wrestling match this time for Ring of Honor (ROH) in 2017; he teamed up with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks to take on a team that included veteran wrestler Christopher Daniels. Today, September 1st, Amell will wrestle once more at All-In, the largest independent wrestling event in history run by Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks. 37-year-old Amell faces Christopher Daniels in the first singles match of his wrestling career. This is a great publicity stunt for his series which starts its 7th season on October 15. The sold-out event which is being held in Chicago will have a pay-per-view and streaming option. Other wrestlers scheduled to appear are Nick Aldis, Marty Scurll, Rey Mysterio, Cody Rhodes, and, rumor has it, CM Punk. Here are some pics of Amell from the internet.

NXT Big Thing
Longtime contributor and good friend of this blog David emailed me some pics of one of NXT's newest faces, Mohammed Fahir. 28-year-old Fahim, a kickboxer and MMA fighter, has the distinction of being the first Egyptian to be signed by WWE in the Middle East. Early this year, he and two other athletes were selected from among 40 competitors in the WWE try-outs in Dubai. Here are some pics of Fahim I found on the internet.
And here are Fahim's debut match pics which David took at a recent NXT event. David says it was a short match because of outside interference by Lars Sullivan (in red). Thanks for bringing our attention to Fahim, David!
Here's one of the other two wrestlers from the Middle East who was also signed up. His name is Nasser Alruyaweh and he's the first Kuwaiti man to get a developmental contract with WWE. Alruyaweh is a crossfit competitor with a background in boxing and Mixed Martial Arts. (The third wrestler from the Middle East who was signed up is Shadia Bseiso, the first Arab female to join WWE.)

International Males
We've got two international beefcakes today. First, from Hungary, here's Blake Steamer. Steamer appears on the roster of Hungarian Championship Wrestling, is heavily into steampunk cosplay and looks like a character from the Pirates of The Caribbean movie franchise. Watch "The Hungarian Steampunk Pirate Captain" in this match from November 2017.
And now, from India, here's Jeetu Chaudhary. Chaudhary is a both a Singles and Tag Team wrestler on the roster of Indian promotion Continental Wrestling Entertainment (CWE). Watch him in this match from 2017.
