Jon Andersen made his pro debut back in 2003, but he only wrestled part-time for four years because he was also focusing on his bodybuilding and strongman careers. By 2008, he was making regular appearances for Pro Wrestling Revolution (PWR) in California while also making several appearances in Japan. In 2009, he signed a contract with top Mexican promotion CMLL wherein he competed in regular matches for two years. Then from 2011 to 2013, he was a regular on the roster of Lucha Libre USA wrestling as "The Firewall" Jon Rekon. Between 2010 - 2013, he joined New Japan Pro Wrestling where he was billed as Strong Man. These days, at 46, he runs a fitness company called Jon Andersen's Performance Training Complex, Inc. Here are some pics of The Strongman that were previously posted on this blog.

ReplyDeleteAlways been one of my favorites - just an amazing wrestler's body.
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonder to me that watching him step into the ring wrestlers didn't just lay down on the mat and say cover me I give. Of course I would say that but the meaning would be a little different.
