Here's a look back at American independent wrestler Ahtu (he also wrestled under the name Arkim/Arkim Doomsday). Ahtu was active as a professional wrestler from 2012 to around 2015. I haven't been able to find anything on him after he "retired" from wrestling, other than an acting credit in 2015 for a TV series called
Paranormal After Party. Watch Arkim in a 2014 dog collar match against Kevin Matthews
here.

Always wondered what happened to him. So many wrestlers who give up early in their careers never give the fans any sort of "closure."
ReplyDeleteI think the difficulty in finding info about him is exacerbated by the multiple names and spellings he has used. His cagematch page:
https://www.cagematch.net//?id=2&nr=11882
provides a FB page, where he spells it "Ahto," but there has been no "action" on FB since 2017. From a brief skim, it sounds as if he went into "lamp making," unless that is a euphemism for something. Anon.
Not to sound too obsessed, but I Googled "Ahto" and found a GoFundMe page from 2016. Apparently he lost everything in a fire. Don't know if that accounts for his retirement. Anon.

Chain match is awesome. I like muscular body of Ahtu.
