Making his first appearance on BCoW is Ry The Guy, the 30-year-old UK postman who's also a pro wrestler. Learn more about him from this 2019 article. Watch his appearance on Britain's Got Talent here and his 2019 in-ring debut (with tag team partner Olly Lloyd) here.
I'll take any delivery he has to offer in the front and the rear
ReplyDeleteWish all mailmen looked like that. Hate to be a buzzkill, but Ry the Guy retired from wrestling in March 2020: "Unfortunately though with my back injury, I've had to make an intelligent decision and step away." Anon.
ReplyDeleteHe is still posting diet and fitness and funny vids, but this is his farewell to wrestling video:

I wish he'd make special deliveries in this country. In the ring and on my postal route.
ReplyDeleteI found another article in an Irish periodical:

He's hot, but that was cringey. I don't think wrestling translates too well on that stage. And the X's mean rejection right? :/
ReplyDeleteYeah, unfortunately, those shows like to bill themselves as "talent shows," but there's a very narrow purview of what's successful. If it isn't singing, dancing, acrobatics, or "magic," rarely does it get past the first round. You'll never see a phenomenal actor performing a monologue flawlessly because it wouldn't translate. Similarly, a good wrestling match needs time to build. It needs stakes, and drama. This show offers quick little 2 minute snippets.
