I think what I like best about Dean Malenko is his no-nonsense look and style in the squared circle. Unlike other wrestlers with aggressive, over the top, almost cartoonish personas and gear, Malenko was straightforward and natural, a wrestler's wrestler. He didn't have an overly-muscled physique, flamboyant ring gear, or a bizarre gimmick and sometimes, that's what I like in a wrestler, especially one with impressive technical skills. Sadly, he now struggles with Parkinson's disease. Read more about him here. Watch Malenko face Chris Jericho in this 1998 WCW match.

Malenko is now 61 years old. |
Sad to hear about his condition. I always thought his older brother, Joe Malenko was hotter, though. You can compare them in tag-team and even a matches against each other in Japan. Easy to find.
