Flashback Friday: John Morrison

A couple of days ago, American wrestler John Morrison tweeted that he had signed with WWE and is poised to return to the promotion that made him a global star. Morrison got his start in pro-wrestling with WWE in 2002 (as one of two winners on the reality competition TV show Tough Enough). He decided not to renew his contract with WWE in 2011 citing "creative frustrations and wanting more control of (my) time." From 2012 to 2019, Morrison, now using his real name John Hennigan,  was active in the independent circuit and appeared in matches for several promotions, notably World Wrestling Fan Experience (WWFX), DragonGate USA, ProWrestling Guerrilla, Championship Wrestling Florida, Impact Wrestling, and Lucha Underground where he was billed as Johnny Mundo. Here's a look back at Morrison from the years 2011-2014.

Here's Japanese wrestler Koju Takeda (stats: 28 years old, 5'7", 154 lbs (170cm/70kg). Takeda began his in-ring career only two years ago and can currently be seen on DDT, the Japanese promotion that mounts unconventional, sometimes comedic matches. As you can see from some of the images below, Takeda is comfortable with wearing little or next to nothing.

Takeda also wrestles for a promotion called Triple 6.

Today's featured Beefcake of Wrestling is Fabian Aichner (formerly known as Adrian Severe). Aichner is currently on the roster of WWE NXT UK.

Clark Of The Covenant

Here's another post dedicated to American wrestler Clark Connors who for the past year has been wrestling on the roster of New Japan Pro Wrestling. Can anyone confirm if the wrestlers who compete in NJPW's Young Lions tournament wear only black trunks (or tights) and boots? I haven't seen any flashy or colorful ring gear in the tournament photos. Read more about the Young Lions Cup here.
