Muscle Monday : Katsuya Kitamura

Katsuya Kitamura is the second Japanese wrestler to be featured on Muscle Monday (the first one is Zeus). This is the first time I'm doing a post on this 6 foot tall, 265 pound former amateur wrestler who turned pro in March 2017. Because of his size and physique during his amateur wrestling days, Kitamura was known as "The Wrestling Monster." These days, he's known as Kinniku Monster, or Muscle Monster.  Kitamura was trained by New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) and won the federation's Young Lion Cup Tournament in 2017. It has been reported that Kitamura recently suffered a cerebral concussion (not wrestling related) which may force him to retire. 10 days ago, Kitamura officially left NJPW. For now, we'll have to wait and see what Kitamura's fate will be. Watch some of his matches here: Kitamura vs. Jay White, Kitamura vs. Kawato, Kitamura vs. Tomayuki Oka.

The Big Boys

How about not one, not two, not three, but four big international beefcakes today? First up, you may have already seen his posts here on Beefcakes of Wrestling. It's NXT's Dan Matha (6'7", 290 lbs).

Next up is Destroyer Dharma. Dharma is also a champion bodybuilder in his native Singapore. Watch him in action here.

Mike Dorosti is our third big beefcake for today. 240 pound Dorosti is from Mississauga, Ontario and is a former two time Battle Arts Wrestling Heavyweight Champion. Watch him battle Randy Bynoe here.

Last but not least, from India, here's Parveen Solanki. Solanki has the distinction of being called The Strongest Man in India. Like Destroyer Dharma, he's a bodybuilder-slash-wrestler.
