Last November, independent wrestler Clayton Gainz (wrestling as Tyler Gainz) faced The Muscle, a
Beefcakes-of-Wrestling newcomer, in a match for Canadian promotion Smash Wrestling.
I don't have any info about The Muscle; with a name as generic as that, it's a little difficult to find anything on him, although I will keep trying. Here are screencaps of their match. Click
here to see all the action.

The Muscle was robbed! Gainz is his bitch.
ReplyDeleteWell, that may be a bit excessive :-)
But keep looking into his identity and background. I like him, I like his jeans, if only in the hope that they're stripped off his body.
If you can find a good enough photo you might try to use Google Reverse Image Search.
The problem is that there's not much visually distinguishing about him. He resembles some of the guys actually on the Smash roster and one guy at 88th Street Wrestling, but not closely enough to say, yep, that's The Muscle.
He's been at Smash, according to the commentators (who were nuts, IMO), for four years with only one match in the W column. Is the franchise stupid?
ReplyDeleteHe's bursting with great potential. If he hadn't played the fool in the name of being a clueless jobberhood, he'd have won the match against his top-flight opponent.
BTW, I loved the "springboard axe" that the commentators mocked. It was in the vein of being original not a clumsy mistake. And he had other truly impressive moves that should have awarded him the victory.
I am not the brightest when it comes to finding identities online but the match you connect to YouTube is Aleks Radevski and one of his videos is a day in the life of the muscle and it looks like him in both that video and as the wrestler called the muscle. Seems like an easy find do I have probably totally missed or stated the obvious. The car he drives in the video has Ontario plates and Aleks lives in Ontario so maybe it is him. Check it out and let me know how wrong I am. Lol.
ReplyDeleteThat's definitely him. Excellent piece of detective work! Well done! :-)
DeleteThank you. Maybe I am a better sleuth then I thought.
DeleteExcellent work, Dino K! I'll feature The Muscle on the blog sometime next week. Thanks!
DeleteYou are awesome Dino K!
DeleteIf I follow his YouTube page he also calls himself Risto and the Macedonian Mauler as well.

ReplyDeleteDino K, the ultimate verification of your hypothesis is AR's FB page.
He was going by a different name when first featured here back in January 2017. http://beefcakesofwrestling.blogspot.com/search/label/risto%20petrevski
ReplyDeleteI think he uses the names Risto or Macedonian Mauler in his earlier years of wrestling. I look forward to your blog on The Muscle soon.
DeleteI love the documentary. Someone with that sense of humor should get more respect. And his gear is as good as he is in jeans.
DeleteHe has a good FB page as Risto with more photos and video clips.
The more I see, the more I like.
He's l'ut (Macedonian for spicy hot). I can't find translations for stud, muscular, or, sadly, mauler, but I'd share them if I could

ReplyDeleteЧувак, я жеребец, позволяющий разочарованным домохозяйкам попробовать что-то, о чем они даже не могли подумать.
Dude, I'm a stud, letting frustrated housewives get a taste of something they wouldn't even get close to otherwise.
Just change that from housewives to wrestling fans.
Or fanboy:
DeleteAnd being a championship-wrestling fan,
И будучи и фанатом реслинга,
Mauler suits him as a gimmick but I would much rather see him get mauled by some hairy muscular beast who humiliates him in the end by choking him with his stripped off jeans. That would get me going for sure.
