Cena vs Theory
Here are screenshots of last weekend's Wrestlemania 39 match between WWE Superstars John Cena and Austin Theory. I was surprised to see Cena back in the ring; I thought that with his success on TV and in the movies, he stopped wrestling altogether. To be honest, I didn't find their match to be exciting. I thought the action would be more explosive, but maybe Cena was holding back because of the risk of being seriously injured. Theory, though, was good at being the arrogant, young heel. ReplyDeleteagreedm I dunno what WWE thinks of giving some of their best looking guys some really terrible facial hair - Theory, Finn Balor, Ricochet... It's hard to imagine it's not intentional.
DeleteAs for this match, It was fine I suppose. Cena is smaller than he used to be, understandably, and Theory really looks trim and fit. Broad shoulders and a narrow waist, hard to argue against that one

DeleteI'm glad to read that others feel about the beards as I do. I can't even watch Matt Cross any more. And whoever had the whacko idea to cover Balor's magnificent body with paint a while back? A body like that is the art, not the canvas. But what do I know?
ReplyDeleteI believe the body paint was his idea back when he wrestled in Japan as other characters, and he brought it with him to WWE when he started in NXT and launched his alter-ego character The Demon.
DeleteInteresting. But I still think it was a bad call no matter who made it. Fortunately his skill triumphed any way.
DeletePretty much agree with you Bruno. They were hyping up this match leading up to WrestleMania and for me the hype was better than the actual match, would have liked to see Cena dish out more punishment to Theory to make his win more worth it. I also saw something online saying the match was way under time, only about 10 minutes. But I do love Theory as a heel, he's one of the main reasons I still watch WWE ;)
ReplyDeleteAustin Theory is basically pandering to the gay and female wrestling fan community. and i love it! =) he's a very great technical wrestler, has good mic skills, and overall charismatic. as a pre-WWE theory fan, i hope his star becomes bigger and bigger
