Flashback Friday: Chris Andrews 2018

How could I have missed these match pics of British wrestler Chris "The Shark" Andrews from last year? In the first set, Andrews takes on Adam "Flex" Maxted and in the second, he battles Iestyn Rees. Clark Connors Goes To Japan

It's been a while since I posted anything new on American wrestler Clark Connors. I though that  perhaps he wasn't wrestling anymore; his social media accounts seem to have been deleted (or he made them private) and I couldn't find any information about him in North America. Turns out Connors started wrestling for New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) early this year and is probably still wrestling in Japan as of November 2019. You can read his NJPW profile here. Connors also competes in tag team matches there with either Karl Fredericks or Alex Coughlin as a partner. You have to subscribe to NJPW's streaming service to see Connors in action; if you don't want to do that, you could always watch some of his 2017 and 2018 matches on YouTube, like this 2017 one against a then 19-year-old Jayce D'Arcy. After doing some research, I now have enough material for two more Clark Connors posts. Stay tuned for those!

David, a longtime contributor and good friend of this blog, emailed me this set of photos he took of third generation wrestler Marshall Von Erich (grandson of the legendary Fritz Von Erich and son of Kevin Von Erich; nephew of Kerry Von Erich). Marshall and his older brother Ross wrestle as a tag team, although Marshall also competes in singles matches. He adapted his father Kevin's trademark of wrestling barefoot.
