A reader of this blog, San J. Hunt, emailed me photos he took of Brad's last match. Here are excerpts from the email he sent me: "I had the opportunity and good fortune to see Brad in a tag match against Dr Tom Prichard this past weekend at GCW's Southern Legends Fanfest in Pell City, Al. (Both men had partnered with local wrestlers for this match.) I had always wanted to see Brad perform live, but unfortunately, I did not get there early enough for the meet and greet portion of the night because of work and the fact it was an hour and a half drive, but I did approach him after his match and shake his hand and tell him how much I enjoyed the match. I was a bit hesitant first, but I'm glad I worked up the nerve to express my appreciation. I've attached some photos I took at the event (see below)."
San J. also emailed these images of Brad that he found on the web. Thanks for sharing these pictures and the ones you took, San J. Brad will be missed!

May you rest in peace, Brad. |
This is sad news. Brad will always be on the top five favorite wrestlers for me. He was awesome to watch and gorgeous to boot. I was reading on Wikipedia on how he was found dead. So sad! RIP Brad.
ReplyDeleteHe was most definitely a beautiful man.
DeleteI've seen you're name on comments on some of the same YouTube videos of Brad that I've watched and posted on. He was one the best, and absolutely amazing to watch.
A true tragedy.
ReplyDeleteI remember watching him on WCW Worldwide when I was younger. He was always cool to me. May he RIP.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bruno, for using my pics. Brad's always been a favorite of mine, so I'm glad I could be a part of a tribute to him in some way.
ReplyDeleteWhat I remember most about that night was that Brad had such a beautiful, genuine smile. It's a very nice memory to have if him.

And thanks for sharing them with us, SAN.

According to his father, Bullet Bob Armstrong, it was most likely a heart attack. Apparently, he had been to the doctor just a few days before this match. Brad's death was a shock to me because he was in such great shape! And he and his brothers never used steroids, said his dad would've killed 'em. That was all genetics, and hard work.
ReplyDeleteSo maybe I am safer just sitting on the couch eating Little Debbie cakes.
Rest Well Brad....You were an Incredible Talent, as were the many in your family. You will always be a Major Name in Pro Wrestling....and in my memories !! Sleep in Peace Buddy !!!
ReplyDeleteamazing wrestler...r.i.p. Brad!
ReplyDeleteI was one of the broadcasters who had the honor of calling his final match. It will always be one that I carry with me.

so sexy and hot he was younger with long sexy hair.. i remember on wcw a few matches tag teaming with his father and both wearing very small, very snug, very high cut 1 piece singlets! outrageously homoerotic to see father and son strutting to the ring wearing these "get-ups"!. whew!
