Flashback Mini-Post: The Gemini Trojans

I wonder what ever became of The Gemini Trojans, the American tag team who wrestled for independent promotions circa 2007-2009? You don't often see twin brother tag teams in the wrestling ring, especially bodybuilder types. They were "rebranded" a couple of times, once as The Heavenly Kingdom, wherein they portrayed Evaneglical heels and then as some kind of pseudo-German villains. You can watch some of their matches as The Heavenly Kingdom on their YouTube Channel and a short preview of The Gemini Trojans vs another tag team here.

Muscle Monday : Gemini Trojans

On this edition of Muscle Monday, we rewind to 2008-2009 to check in on the tag team known as The Gemini Trojans. Identical twins Jeremy Ron and Nelson were independent American wrestlers who started out in 2005 as Phat Blues Security. They rebranded themselves as "Aryan" heels in 2008 and first called themselves Third Reich (yikes!) but later changed their name to Das Ubermenschen (loosely translated to "supermen"), which is harder to remember. They eventually settled on Gemini Trojans, the name they used until they became inactive in 2009. (Not to be confused with another tag team of identical twins called The Gemini Twins).

Twins!

There are a lot of brother-tag teams in pro wrestling, but twin brother-tag teams? Those are harder to come by. Josh and Jeremy are identical twins who graduated from the DCW School of Wrestling; they've reinvented themselves several times since they debuted in the mid-2000s but are probably best known as The Gemini Trojans (circa 2007). Click on the label below to see older posts on these musclestuds.

Is this Josh or Jeremy?

What could be hotter than twins who wrestle each other?

Wrestling Twins (Part 2)

No longer going by the tag team handle Gemini Trojans, Josh and Jeremy have been using the un-PC name of Third Reich (also Das Ubermenschen...I'd like to hear the kids try and say that, much less spell it) in their most recent incarnation as wrestling heels. They also reinvented themselves as Kingdom of Heaven, a rabid born-again fundamentalist tag team wearing black trousers, for World Professional Wrestling. (*I've included another batch of pictures of the twins from when they were calling themselves Gemini Trojans.) See previous post for more of Josh and Jeremy.

Wrestling Twins (Part 1)

Identical twins Josh and Jeremy, now 31 years old, used to call themselves The Gemini Trojans (also, just plain Trojans). They've been wrestling since the mid-2000s for various indy companies such as New Age Wrestling, ACPW, Maryland Championship Wrestling, to name a few. Although they both trained at the DCW School of Wrestling, they are proud to say that they acquired bachelor's degrees at different schools and in different disciplines. Here they are in what is probably a very rare kind of bout : a twins-wrestle-each-other pro match (sadly, these are the only pictures of that match that I found). If there's a video of this fight out there, I would pay to see it! Here's a poorly shot video of the brothers in a post-match promo: Gemini Trojans 2008. Damn! This could have been much hotter if the cameraman knew how to focus. (More on Josh and Jeremy in the next post.)
