Bearhug Me Tight

One of the more iconic holds in wrestling is the bearhug. If you haven't heard about it yet, there's a whole online community dedicated to the bearhug in professional wrestling. It's called Bearhugger.net and not only are there galleries, stories, links, uploads, and matches, there's also a huge Wrestling Personals database where you can meet other bearhug and wrestling aficionados from all over the world. Below are some of the bearhug images I've contributed since I became a member 13 years ago.

Regular contributor Jim from Chicago has an extensive collection of fantastic photographs that I am very privileged to feature here on my blog. This set of pics featuring Doug Basham comes from Jim's archives.  Jim writes: "Here are some shots I took of a match held in Midlothian, IL back in May 2007 between the Basham Brothers, Doug and Danny (Daniel Hollie) against the Tomaselli Brothers, Vito (long hair) and Sal. The Tomaselli's won the match as I recall."
