British wrestler The Phenomenal Ghent is back! Ghent made his first appearance here on this blog about a couple of years ago* in a set of images of his match against French bodybuilder/babyface Jo Atlas. Back then, Ghent was wrestling in France; now he's back in the UK being the big, bad heel in this match against Zack Gibson. I'm not sure what name he's now using. If anyone can enlighten me, I'd very much appreciate it. *The first time I came across Ghent, he was being called Khent in France...or maybe that was just a typo on the site. I haven't changed the spelling of his name on the label since.

He can lose the long pants.
ReplyDeleteI believe his real name is Ghent Wakefield. I thought he had sued British Health for botching some sort of treatment for a torn biceps, but he looks MORE than fine, unless the elbow pads are covering something up.
ReplyDeleteAnd, there are nice pics of him against Marty Scurll here: http://taporsnapphotography.tumblr.com/
ReplyDeleteI agree on the pants, it goes with his "character" as an American GI.
I am so happy to see back some one of my favorite wrestler
ReplyDeleteI posted a link to a Daily Mail article about his conviction and imprisonment for disability fraud not long ago, so I'm shocked that he's wrestling again.
ReplyDeleteWhatever his failings I enjoyed him in the Atlas match very much. I hope he keeps his nose clean.
A wrestler database has him in a couple of 2014 matches.
ReplyDeleteHe was featured in a 2005 BBC series called "Bank of Mum and Dad" concerning his debt problems. He had £20,000 of debt! Here's a link that describes his episode and his difficulties: http://www.bbc.co.uk/entertainment/bankofmumanddad/latest_programme6.shtml
