Filipino-American wrestler T.J. Perkins is tonight's headliner in Philippine Wrestling Revolution's "Homecoming" event. Perkins was an independent wrestler for years before becoming WWE's inaugural Cruiserweight Classic champion where he represented The Philippines. He was released from his WWE contract in February of this year* and has been wrestling for various independent promotions in the USA. He recently competed in New Japan Pro Wrestling's Super J Cup and is now in Manila for a special one-night only event. (*Rumor has it Perkins was released because management was upset with him for getting tattoos without their approval. Why would they be upset about that? Because there were action figures of Perkins that were in the works and his tattoos were not part of the design.")
