This is American wrestler Alex Coughlin's first appearance on Beefcakes of Wrestling. The 25-year-old from NewYork City stands 6 feet tall and weighs 205 lbs. (183 cm/93 kg) and made his pro debut only last year. He passed a try-out to join New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) in August 2018 and became one of the few trainees of the NJPW L.A. Dojo, a camp where wrestlers learn Japanese style pro-wrestling. Last September, Coughlin took part in NJPW's Young Lion Tournament and finished with four wins, three losses. You can watch his NJPW matches on their subscription streaming site; a few of his pre-NJPW matches are on YouTube like this tag team match where he was billed as Leo Blackstone.

Another LA Dojo guy deserving of being on BoW! A shame NJPW is so stingy with the free matches. Anon.
ReplyDeleteHe had a match in NJPW with fellow hottie Clark Connors in September of last year that was pure art. Both in plain black trunks and NO knee pads which really showed off their muscular legs. Absolutely no brawling, only wrestling which ended in a submission win for Clark. Going to see if I can track it down again, NJPW matches are notoriously difficult to find.
ReplyDeleteI'm hard just thinking of these two men in the ring together going at it
DeleteWould love to see that one. I know one in which he wrestles Karl Fredericks for NJPW, and Connors appears in other matches on the video:

He and Connors were also team members in a tag match on Championship Wrestling from Hollywood Ep. 399, which can be viewed here:

Enjoy! Anon.
Oh man, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
DeleteLoving how both matches have them wrestling without knee pads, it's a huge fetish of mine!
I wish them both nothing but success.
Second that thanks. You are a godsend Anon!
DeleteThose bruises on Alex's traps and pecs ... mmmm ... I'm going right ahead and fantasizing those are hickeys ...
I had no idea how to pronounce his last name, but now after hearing it I have my own pronunciation 😈
Was definitely surreal to see Japanese style setup/camera/wrestling/ring and hearing an American announcer
Welcome to you both. You can also find segments of his NJPW matches on FB if you search in videos under his name. Anon.
DeleteAnon, oh man, that first match was amazing but you really got my hopes up as I don't think Clark Connors is in that match (I looked at Part 1 & 2 😞). Any idea what match you were referring to that you saw Clark in?
DeleteIt should be illegal for him to be dressed
