Beefcakes of Lucha: Esfinge

It's the last Monday of the year and that means the last Beefcake of Lucha to be featured here is Mexico's Esfinge (The Sphinx).

  1. Thanks for opening up the whole world of luchador beefcake to all of us!
One thing, why is the word "esfinge" (Spanish for "sphinx") split into two words? Even the first pic indicates that he renders it as one. Anon.

    1. Thanks for pointing that out. I've made the necessary corrections already.

    2. Sorry to nitpick, although I tend to come from the position that you have inside info. Anon.

  2. I'll never understand why wrestlers with legs like that put on tights rather than trunks. Then again, I'm just a big hornball for pro wrestlers, so who am I to judge?

    1. I asked TJ Steel about that once when he was commenting on BoW. He, personally, felt his legs weren't adequate & had also invested $ in tights matching his tag-team partner's gear (although, oddly, his partner wears short trunks). He also suggested that long tights provide a lot more space for names/words/designs/advertising (unless the wrestler has a giant rear end). I think it may also be a warmth issue. Aside from that, there is personal preference. Anon.
