Rewind: Billy Gibson
I didn't get to do a lot of posts on Canadian wrestler Billy Gibson. Although his in-ring career spanned ten years (2008-2017)bu, he had a total of only 87 matches. Searching for pictures of him during his busiest period, 2010-2014, was difficult. Even now, if you do a Google image search for him, chances are you'll see just a handful of images. Here's a look back at some of his photos that have been posted here on BCoW. Watch Gibson in this match from 2013.

Very much enjoyed some previously unknown pics of Gibson. (And I know I'd remember the eighth photo.) Billy has just enough beef to preserve the lanky look without losing it. Add to that his face and his ring skills and you've got a classic.

ReplyDeleteAlways wonder what happens to fairly popular wrestlers who quit w/o saying anything to the fans. I do recall finding a Billy Gibson match from about 2017 and was disappointed to see he had grown his hair long, was wearing longer trunks, and had lost a lot of muscle tone. Fortunately he is immortalized in earlier video.
