Several months ago, American independent wrestler Scott Phoenix posted on his socials that he would be coming out of retirement to wrestle for the Global Syndicate Wrestling Tag Team Championship Title. Phoenix made his in-ring debut in 2011 and "retired" from professional wrestling in 2019. A longtime bodybuilder, he currently works as a junior sheriff and personal trainer. In July of this year, he and his tag team partner, David Silver, won the tag team championship belts in their July match for independent promotion GSW.
