The Wrestling Photo Guy

I came across this Instagram account a few days ago and thought I'd share it with everyone here. It's still a pretty new account with only 47 posts as of this writing, but expect it to grow this year. Great photos from a guy called Dan. Follow him on @thewrestlingphotoguy.

Craven's Other Hustles

I can't believe I've featured independent American wrestler Craven Knyte here only once (that post from May 2012 is here). I guess with so many beefcake wrestlers to cover, some just slip through the cracks. It wasn't until I saw a link to one of his matches on YouTube that I remembered him and wondered what he's been up to. Turns out the Minnesota-based wrestler who had his first pro match at the age of 14 is now an entrepreneur who uses his creativity and talent to make a diverse range of things: commissioned wrestling gear for other wrestlers, costumes, props, graphic t-shirts, and more. Yes, the man can sew! And not only that, Knyte also hosts a podcast called The Breaking Knyte (available on Stitcher). What a busy guy. Though not as active in the ring anymore, Knyte still takes time out to make the occasional appearance in a match like this one from last month.  You can follow him on Instagram (CravenKnyte and CKWrestlingGear) or on Facebook (Break Nyte Creative) too see samples of his work. And if you're in the mood to treat yourself, commission him to make some customised gear for you. You know you want to...

Quoth The Craven...

Making his debut here on Beefcakes of Wrestling is upcoming indie star Craven Knyte aka The Extreme Assassin.

Knyte says he trained at the Long Island Wrestling Federation Doghouse and had his first in-ring match at age 14 (!!!) in 2001.

After moving to Minneapolis in 2005, he got his start with Mid-West Pro Wrestling training under Eddie Sharky and Johnny Emerald who were running shows at First Avenue. While working for M.P.W., he started training in a Lucha Libre style and wrestled in a few Lucha Libre shows in St. Paul, Minneapolis, Iowa, and Nebraska.

Craven currently works for the American Wrestling Federation.
