Old School Beefcake: Raymond Rougeau

Of all the Rogueaus who've ever stepped into a ring, Raymond is my favorite. His father, Jacques, Sr., and his uncle Johnny were also professional wrestlers in Canada in the 1950s. Raymond made his in-ring debut at the very young age of sixteen! He is probably best known for his time in World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) in the latter half of the 1980s alongside his brother Jacques Jr. as the tag team The Fabulous Rougeaus. In the early 1990s, he worked as an interviewer and presenter for the same promotion. Now 68 years old, Raymond has been the mayor of Rawdon, Quebec since 2021. Read more about him here.

Monday Muscle : Cedric Rougeau

Thanks to the reader of this blog who brought my attention to Canadian wrestler Cedric Rougeau. If his last name sounds familiar, it's because Cedric is the son of 1980s-1990s WWE Superstar Jacques Rougeau (aka The Mountie). Cedric is a 4th generation wrestler; Eddie Auger, the uncle of his grandfather Jacques Sr. was the first of the family wrestlers. Jacques Sr. and his brother Johnny were wrestlers in Canada in the 1950s. Jacques Sr. had three sons who also became wrestlers: Jacques Jr., Raymond, and Armand. You may remember Jacques and Raymond wrestling for WWE as The Fabulous Rougeaus (see the last photo below). I couldn't find any stats on Cedric (age, height, weight). From looking at these pics, how tall would you say he is*?

Father and son. Jacques is billed as standing 6 ft. 3 in.
How tall would you say Cedric is?

Raymond Rougeau Today

Remember Canadian wrestler Raymond Rougeau (he's the moustachioed one shown below with his brother/tag team partner Jacques)? He wrestled for WWE (then called WWF) in the 1980s, then became a French language ring commentator in the 1990s. Now 54, Raymond is active in city council politics and still promotes wrestling shows in Montreal. Oh, and he still looks hot.
