Birthday Boy Luke

I was supposed to post this on January 13th, the 35th birthday of independent wrestler Luke Robinson, but then, I totally forgot about it. Robinson became slightly notorious because of his appearance as one of 14 contestants on WWE's Tough Enough reality series in 2011. Described as "arrogant" on the show, Robinson was an early standout and was in the bottom three only once. If you are a BG East enthusiast and Robinson looks familiar to you, it's because he appears in the adult video company's roster as Donnie Drake. He made a special appearance at a Maine event called Let's Wrestle 207 last month (see first photo). Other than that, he's been posting quite a few thirst trap pics on his Twitter account.

Zero Hour

Here are Ken Doane (formerly WWE's Kenny Dysktra) and Luke Robinson in a match for Xtreme Wrestling Alliance's Zero Hour show held on Dec. 10, 2011 in Rhode Island. This looks like it was an exciting, hard-fought match, however, I don't think it would have hurt if both these guys wore something a little more revealing in the ring. Can I get an amen?

The Hot One on "Tough Enough"

We don't get WWE's reality series "Tough Enough" where I'm from, so I'm not up to speed with what's happening on the show. I did check out the cast online and spotted one wrestler who hasn't been featured yet (I missed the boat on this one) on Beefcakes of Wrestling. It's Luke Robinson who wrestled as "Golden Boy" Bobby Robinson for NWA. Some of you may even recognize him as BG East's Donnie Drake.  A few days ago, the Ring-Rap website brought up Luke's BG East connection and I wonder what WWE management (who I'm sure knew about it) and the fans think of the whole thing. Will it hurt Lucas's chances of winning the show? He's been touted as a favorite to win. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
