Muscle Monday : Apollo Crews

Remember Uhaa Nation? He was featured on this blog a few times before. After signing with WWE's  developmental brand NXT, Uhaa (real name Sesugh Uhaa) was renamed Apollo Crews. Standing tall at 6 ft. 11 in. and weighing 240 pounds, the 28 year old native of Sacramento California also wrestled for a time in Japan. Watch him in this match against Finn Balor from November 2015.

Future Beefcake Material : Ace Perry

I don't know how old independent wrestler Ace Perry is, but he made his professional debut in 2012, so I would assume he's in his early 20s (even though he looks like he could pass for a teenager). At 5 ft. 9 in. and 187 pounds, he has a lean build which might be disadvantageous to him when faced with a much bigger opponent. But what he lacks in size, he makes up in agility. The photos below were taken by Jim (formerly from Chicago), a good friend of this blog who has been one of its regular contributors since 2010. Jim says that Perry was one of the crowd favorites at The Lucha Libre Fest held in Cicero, Illinois this month. "He must have been a gymnast because he had some pretty amazing moves. His smile and personality had the fans up from their seats and he and his tag team partner won their match." I think Perry is one to watch, don't you? Thanks, Jim, for these amazing pics of a future Beefcake of Wrestling.

Moonlighting with Nese and Summers

In case you haven't seen it yet, Cameron Matthews' website has downloadable videos for sale featuring two wrestling beefcakes who have been featured many times on the pages of this blog. First up is Anthony Nese who wrestles as Maverick for Matthews' company. In the video Sexy Cage Match, Nese/Maverick goes to work on college basketball player Cal Bennett. I haven't seen the video myself, but it's obvious from these photos who the jobber is in this match.

Also available for download is Chet Chastain vs. Ethan Andrews. Yup, Chastain is none other than independent wrestler and half of the tag team Milk Chocolate, Randy Summers. This video has two evenly-matched wrestlers and the action is described as being more "back and forth."

You can check out these videos on Cameron's website : cameronwrestler.com (Disclaimer: This is not an advertisement for Cameron's website or merchandise.)

A and Z

A for Alex Riley, Z for Zack Ryder. Where have these two WWE Superstars been? They've been busy  wrestling in NXT, WWE's development company in Florida. And what are they doing there? Appearing in middle card matches and making some up-and-comers look good. Sad, isn't it? These photos were taken by a good friend of this blog who is also one of its longtime contributors, David (thanks, David!). David describes Riley's look as being scruffier and before the match, David said he yelled "I headlined at Wrestlemania 27!" to the crowd. His opponent in this match is Apollo Crews formerly known as Uhaa Nation. On the same night,  Zack Ryder wrestled in a tag team against The Mechanics...and lost. What has become of our once mighty WWE favorites? Tell us what you think in the Comments section below.
