From Jim's Archives - Max McGuirk

Regular contributor Jim from Chicago emailed me a set of photos he took in 2009 of a match between Max McGuirk (6 ft. 2 in., 225 lbs. from Oklahoma) and Eric Escobar at the FCW arena in Tampa, Florida. Jim recalls that the match was a total squash job; "the fresh-faced newbie McGuirk was thrown in the ring with seasoned veteran Escobar and suffered through two long bearhugs and a number of hot holds." McGuirk was released from his FCW/WWE contract in 2010, but continues to wrestle in the indie circuit. Awesome shots, Jim, thanks as always!

Eric Escobar

Eric Escobar (born Eric Alexander Perez on December 18, 1979) is a 6 ft. 3 in. 250 pound Puerto Rican wrestler best known for his brief time in FCW and WWE.  After his stint with WWE, Eric returned to Puerto Rico where he held the title of IWA Heavyweight Champion.
