Flashback Friday: Aaron Armstrong

There isn't much I know about English bodybuilder/wrestler Aaron Armstrong (aka Double A). These and a few other pics were the only images of Double A that I found back in the day (I wish I could have found more). In one set of photos, he's seen wearing relatively conventional ring gear (colored trunks) and in the other, a Bane*-like costume consisting of a gas mask and black pants. Which of Armstrong's looks do you prefer?

Armstrong vs. Terry Frazier

*Bane is a fictional supervillain who appears in DC Comics. The character is an adversary of Batman.

Muscle Monday : Viktor

If Viktor (sans gas mask) looks familiar to you, that's because you may have seen him on Beefcakes of Wrestling before. Yup, Viktor, as he's known now in the British promotion Wrestle Midlands, used to be Aaron Armstrong, aka Double A. Last time he was featured here was in 2012 and even then, he was only covered in three posts. An eagle-eyed reader recently brought Viktor to my attention and I recognized the face even though I initially couldn't recall his previous ring moniker. To see the 2012 posts on Armstrong/Viktor, click on his name in the Labels section at the bottom of this post.

Viktor is Wrestle Midlands current champion.

Double A : Awesome and Amazing

The UK has given us some great beefcake wrestlers in the last couple of years -- Mason Ryan (aka Barri Griffiths), Kevin Cameron (aka Brandon T), Rob Terry, Magnus (aka Nick Aldis), just to name a few. Here's one of the rising stars of the UK indie scene,  24 year old Aaron "Double A" Armstrong. Hopefully, like the other UK wrestlers I mentioned, we'll get to see more of Double A in the months to come. (Thanks to blog reader Paul for the link to these pics.)

Double A Returns

Here are pics of UK indie wrestler Aaron Armstrong aka Double A in a recent match.  Double A didn't win against his leaner, more seasoned opponent, but with a body like that, his future in pro wrestling looks bright indeed.
