Flashback Friday: Aaron Armstrong
There isn't much I know about English bodybuilder/wrestler Aaron Armstrong (aka Double A). These and a few other pics were the only images of Double A that I found back in the day (I wish I could have found more). In one set of photos, he's seen wearing relatively conventional ring gear (colored trunks) and in the other, a Bane*-like costume consisting of a gas mask and black pants. Which of Armstrong's looks do you prefer?
*Bane is a fictional supervillain who appears in DC Comics. The character is an adversary of Batman.

ReplyDeleteHis real name is Aaron Hudson, and he curtailed his wrestling appearances as he became more and more important in professional bodybuilding. Anon.

I can go one better than that! :-) His full name is Aaron Dean Hudson. He has a Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/aarondeanhudson. It used to be full of his bodybuilding pictures etc, but after he retired from competitive bodybuilding in late 2018, he'd changed his Facebook page and its settings, and those images are no longer viewable there.
ReplyDeleteHe's wrestled under a few different names. His first moniker, AFAIK, was "Aaron Sicknote". Later names were "Aaron Armstrong", "Aaron Adonis", the "Big AA", and the "Double A". When he was wearing the gasmask, he was called "Viktor". Most of Aaron's ring career seems to have been spent with a promotion called "Wrestle Midlands".
