Beefcakes of Lucha: Angel de Oro

So far, all the other Beefcakes of Lucha that have been featured on this blog are wrestlers who wear masks. Meet a luchador who doesn't wear a mask in the ring - Angel de Oro. His name translates to Golden Angel or Angel of Gold. Angel, 5'9"/181 lbs. (176 cm/82 kg), hails from Durango, Mexico and works for the promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). The 31-year-old second generation luchador (his father is Apolo Chavez) is a former CMLL World Middleweight Champion and CMLL Light Heavyweight Champion. Like many other luchadores in Mexico, he used to wrestle wearing a mask, but after losing a "mask-vs-mask" match* in 2018 against El Cuatrero, he was forced to unmask and be identified. Angel has a brother who is also a luchador who goes by the name Niebla Roja (The Red Fog). (* Watch their infamous match here.)
