One of my favorite channels on YouTube which has lots of matches featuring beefcake wrestlers from the 1990s-mid2000s is OldSchoolBrawlers. A couple of days ago, a tag team match with Romeo and J-Sin (mistakenly identified as Justin) was posted and I think this may be the first time I've heard of the two wrestlers. J-Sin figures more prominently in the match probably because as the boy-next-door type, the promoters figured he'd get more sympathy from the fans (Romeo hardly gets any time in the ring; maybe because he's the tougher one?). I really don't know anything about J-Sin or Romeo and even a Google search didn't turn up much. Watch the action here. Here's another J-Sin match out of Georgia; in the Comments section, someone said J-Sin's real name is Jason Daniels; the Jason Daniels I searched for doesn't seem to be the same guy although I could be wrong. Also, there's a more current wrestler going by J-Sin these days and is very different from the J-Sin posted here.

Isn't that Kid Romeo of WCW fame?
ReplyDeleteExactly. I think WCW billed him as from the "WCW Powerplant." Anon.
DeleteThis same Kid Romeo did a match for Thunders Arena in it's really early days but the match has been taken down the past several years. It was pretty hot.
ReplyDeleteGreat find Bruno! I knew about the Georgia match vid where he gets ganged up on in the end, but not the other. Unfortunately, "Jason" is a very popular name in pro wrestling, and J-sin is too, by extension, as are the generic last names, Powers and Daniels. He was called "Jason Powers" during a run on NWA Wildside, and there was a match on Youtube where he teamed with Jorge Estrada, if anyone can find it. Although he doesn't have a Cagematch page, some of his other matches are listed under the NWA Wildside cards there, ca. 1999. Anon.
ReplyDeleteJ-Sin/Jason Daniels appeared in several videos issued by BG Enterprises quite a while ago (the 1990s?) One was a video title Warehouse Warriors, which also featured a very young A. J. Styles. Daniels was also on a BG British video in a singles match and a tag match with a hot young partner, as well as another video featuring a mat match with an opponent whose name I've long since forgotten. Daniels was always hot, hot, hot and had excellent wrestling skills. (Also sweated like crazy.)
ReplyDeleteJason seemed to be a big deal in NWA Georgia at about the time it dropped the "Georgia" for "Wildfire" and later "Anarchy." He had a few wins, including holding half the tag-team belts, but then seems to have gone jobber and disappeared. A shame. Anon.
DeleteThanks for the lead. J-sin appears in about 10 BGEast videos, in their "NewPro" series, listed here. Anon.:
