Powers, now 65 years old, was born in Washington Heights, Manhattan, and became a professional wrestler in 1984. He started with World Wrestling Federation (now WWE), moved to WCCW in 1985, and returned to WWF in 1989. After leaving WWF, he became an independent wrestler until his retirement in 2010.
