From The Archives: Johnny Curtis

Before he was Fandango on WWE (a gimmick/character I was not a fan of), Johnny Curtis started out in the New England independent circuit in 1999. Born in Portland, Maine, Curtis was signed to WWE's  developmental promotions, first with Deep South Wrestling from 2006 to 2008, then with Florida Championship Wrestling from 2008 to 2010 and finally with NXT from 2010 to 2012. He debuted his Fandango character on SmackDown in 2012. He ended his 15 year tenure with WWE when the company released him in 2021. Now 40, Curtis (real name Curtis Jonathan Hussey) has been wrestling as Dirty Dango for National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and Impact Wrestling/Total Non-Stop Action (TNA) since 2021.
