Selfie Showdown : Alexander Hammerstone vs Danny Duggan

Time for another selfie showdown. Here are five selfies each from independent wrestlers Alexander Hammerstone and "Hotshot" Danny Duggan. Hammerstone shows more versatility that Duggan in his poses and locations, so that's one point for him. On the other hand, Duggan is shirtless in all his selfies (vs. Hammerstone being shirtless in only one selfie), so that's one point for Duggan. Who do you think wins this showdown?

The Bigger They Are...

You know how the rest of it goes. Take 6 ft. 2 in. wrestler Mahabali Shera from India. In a recent Galli Luche Libre 10-Man Tag Team elimination match held in Illinois, 25-year-old Shera was the biggest man in the ring. So what did the other wrestlers do?  Gang up on him, of course, and Shera was the first to be eliminated. These photos were taken by longtime contributor and good friend Jim from Chicago. Thanks for the pics, Jim!

Apron Strings

I think we all know that in a wrestling ring, the apron is the area that "extends between one and two feet beyond the ropes (source: Wikipedia)" What is the apron typically used for? Well, it's where a tag team competitor stands and waits to be tagged while his partner battles their opponent in the ring. In matches like a Battle Royale, the apron is considered a safe zone, meaning a wrestler who is tossed outside the ring but who does not fall off the apron can still participate in the match. Check out the photos below to see some beefcake wrestlers on the apron.

Meet Jake McCluskey

Making his first ever appearance here on Beefcakes of Wrestling is Jake McCluskey from Porchester, England. Jake must have started his wrestling career at a pretty young age because I've seen a couple of pics of him wherein he looks barely out of his teens. This independent wrestler stands 5 ft. 11 in. tall and weighs around 170 pounds. McCluskey has also wrestled under the moniker "Jakey" and has been called "Mr. Moonsault" because he performs this impressive move in many of his matches. Watch him in action here, here, and here.

Mr. Moonsault does his thing.

Yup, still doing the moonsault.

It's Good To Be King

Here are some pics of NXT's King Konstantine (formerly known as Radomir Petkovic) in a singles match. I think that in Konstantine's case, height certainly makes might.
