Flashback Friday: Beto Segovia

Mexican luchador Beto Segovia was on the roster of a lesser-known promotion in Mexico called 100% Lucha (circa 2010-2011); too bad 100% Lucha didn't become as huge as CMML (Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre), the oldest wrestling promotion in Mexico, or Segovia would probably still be wrestling today. There's not a lot about him I could find online; from what I could see, he took on a  trucker kind of look/gimmick. You can watch a few of his matches on YouTube although the video quality isn't very good/clear. Click here to see him in a tag team match and here to see a promotional presentation.

  2. 100% Lucha was big on stock characters (surfer guy, trucker, CIA guy, etc.) and small on actual wrestling, oriented toward children, although the high percentage of action-figure physiques is quite appealing. Better-quality vids and full shows can be found at the Telefe youtube page, try using the Youtube search tool with: 100% Telefe to sort through all the other vids there. Anon.
