American wrestler Austin Idol may not have been as popular as some of his contemporaries in the 1970s-1980s, but he was big in states like Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Texas. He retired from wrestling in1998 and is now 74 years old. Read all about him here.
Glad to hear he had a good long life. So often you hear about wrestlers dying at fairly young ages.
ReplyDeleteI realize that he had the pro-wrestling "look" of the time, esp. in a period when his physique would have made him a "body guy" in any promotion. I just wonder what he would have looked like with a good haircut and updated (and short) gear. Anon.
