Terrific Tristan

After yesterday's post on Italy's Fabian Aichner (or Adrian Severe if you've been following this blog for years now), we now go to France to check up on Tristan Archer. Archer is back in Europe after his stint in WWE's Cruiserweight Classic tournament where he wrestled as Clement Petiot representing France. He's been making the rounds of the independent circuit in Europe and recently faced veteran German wrestler Bad Bones in a match for WrestlingKult (was this match held in a bar?). Watch it here.

Tristan Archer vs Bad Bones

Fabulous Fabian

I'm so glad to see Fabian Aichner (formerly known as Adrian Severe) doing well in WWE's developmental franchise NXT. The 27 year old first came to WWE in 2016 to represent his native Italy as one of 32 participants in the first ever Cruiserweight Classic tournament (T.J. Perkins, representing The Philippines, won the tournament). In June of the following year, Aichner signed a contract with WWE to appear in NXT events. Aichner was visibly bigger when he joined NXT and it was revealed he had put on 30 pounds of muscle since the tournament (he's currently at 220 pounds). Watch an excerpt of Aichner's match against Ricochet (April 18, 2018) here.

No Ifs, Ands...Or Butts?

Are you in the mood for an entertaining match wherein one of the wrestlers gets "overexposed?" Then settle in for this bout from Limitless Wrestling featuring Maxwell Jacob Friedman (formerly Feinstein) vs. Jonathan Gresham. To see what happens in the match, check out the screen caps I made:

Paul Ryker - Then & Now

Remember Paul Ryker, the Canadian ex-Scots Guard (Iraq) who wrestled in the UK for a few years? He was first featured on this blog about four or five years ago. According to Cagematch.net, Ryker also wrestled under the names Commando and Paul Synott (his real name) during his five year stint appearing in shows for companies like IPW:UK, Progress Wrestling, WrestleForce, and a few others. He was WrestleForce's International Champion twice circa 2013-2014. After pro wrestling, he turned to acting and modelling, although he says he is still a pro wrestler in all his current profile descriptions.  Maybe someday, Ryker will return to the squared circle. Wouldn't that be a welcome comeback? Here are some images of Ryker from the Beefcakes of Wrestling archives:

And here's Paul Ryker these days.

Muscle Monday : Brian Cage

I know it's too soon for another Muscle Monday : Brian Cage post, but something terrible happened this weekend and I had to resort to featuring the always reliable Cage  there's always something new to see on his social media accounts. So here's what happened: a couple of days ago, my laptop wouldn't boot up. One of the drives must have gotten corrupted so I had to install a new operating system. Unfortunately, I didn't back up the hundreds of images I'd been saving in the last two to three weeks and they're all gone now. I now have to start from scratch and scour the "interwebs" for blog content. I usually have two weeks worth of posts saved, but I have pretty much nothing now. So bear with me if you see older posts being reprised here; just think of them as "summer reruns." Anyway, back to regular programming. Watch Cage battle Cody Rhodes in this recent WrestlePro Orlando match.
