Pictures Of The Week
I love black-and-white photos of wrestling matches. They remind me of the pictures I used to see in magazines like Pro Wrestling Illustrated when I was a kid in the 1960s. These photos of a 2009 match between British wrestlers Johnny Moss and Martin Stone have the same quality those vintage pictures had -- the graininess, the stark contrast between light and shade, the dramatic shadows. ReplyDeleteAgreed, more dramatic. Actually sends me back to the day's before Color TV entered the picture. Real OLD SCHOOL. As for this match...Great shots showing how Moss worked Stone over. Pic #1..Moss moving in...Pic #2..Moss Warning Stone...Pic #3..Stone dazed from Moss's shot..Pic #4..Stone "trying" to get up as Moss is ready to attack again..Pic #5..Stone down & out from Moss's Punishments. Well Done!!
