Vintage Beefcakes of Wrestling - Leo Garibaldi

Having grown up in a family of professional wrestlers, it seemed only natural that Leo Garibaldi would follow in the footsteps of his father Gino and four uncles. As a wrestler in the 1950s, Leo was billed as "The Teenage Idol from California." A shoulder injury forced Leo to retire early, but Leo never stopped being involved in wrestling; he became a referee for NWA, went on to start a promotion in Australia and became a member of the Cauliflower Alley organization.

  1. I am Gloria Harbison, Leo's sister-in-law.I have enjoyed watching Leo wrestle for years in my younger life. Especailly did I love Leo's role as a father and husband. When my sister June and Leo would come to visit us, it would thrill the entire family. We are so fortunate to have had Leo Garibaldi in our family throughout the years. He was a fantastic joke teller, and could hold an audience in entertainment as also did my sister,June. They made a great team in life and were loved by so many. Leo is resting now but he gave life and family - everything he had! You are loved, Leo Garibaldi!! Your life counted in greatness and the highest esteem. Gloria Harbison
