By now, you may have heard the news that WWE superstar Darren Young came out to a TMZ reporter who asked him if a gay wrestler could succeed in WWE (haven't seen the interview yet? Click here.) . So far, the reactions that I've seen and read have been positive and supportive although I'm sure there are some haters out there with nothing good to say, but I'd prefer not to read what they think (read some heart-warming tweets from WWE superstars here). Young has been featured in news programs like The Today Show, Good Morning America, and E! Hollywood News and WWE management itself has been very supportive of Young (go to their website to follow the news). WWE's biggest superstar, John Cena, says he is proud of Young and congratulated him for making a "bold move." Read what else Cena said about Young here. And now, some pics of a match from several months ago between Cena and Young.
What now for Darren Young? How will the fans react when he steps back into the ring? Will WWE management make him do interviews or commentary instead? We'll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, Young says he is happy and "in love" (see TMZ's follow-up story here). I'm happy for him.

Way to go, Darren/(real name: Fred Rosser)! And GOOD ON WWE for embracing Fred's very personal, candid announcement! (His 'lover' is one lucky lad!) ;D
