A Tribute To Kris Travis

I read on Ringside At Skull Island yesterday that British wrestler Kris Travis passed away at the young age of 32. Travis had been battling stomach cancer and retired from wrestling last year after "an incredible in-ring comeback despite having surgery to remove a stomach tumour and undergoing 18 weeks of chemotherapy (see full article here)." I didn't feature Travis a lot here on Beefcakes of Wrestling, perhaps because his physique, while incredibly ripped, was leaner than most of the other wrestlers I tend to focus on, but I would see many photos of him while surfing the web for images I could include in this blog. In fact, in the early days of this blog, I would often confuse him with another lean Brit, Joey Hayes (I guess I should have paid more attention to Travis' star tattoos). So long, Kris, you were indeed, "a fighter to the end."

Travis often battled bigger opponents like Rampage Brown.

  1. I was deeply saddened when I heard of his passing Thursday. I've been a huge fan of his for years. I found him to be quite beautiful and sexy, but it was his charisma that kept me coming back for more. He had an amazing athletic ability, incredible talent, charm, a beautiful face with an infectious smile, and a stunningly gorgeous body. I found him to be infinitely watchable. While on the smaller side, he was so ripped that the thought of exploring very peak and valley on his tight, smooth skinned body was intoxicating.

  2. Very sad indeed. I must say he was always on the periphery for me, but seeing these pics makes me realize I've missed out

    1. Kris Travis and El Ligero (the "light" one, as in "slight") have almost identical physiques. El Ligero is a lad from, I think, from the North Midlands of England; he is not Hispanic.
