The Return of Riley

I just heard the great news. Alex Riley is wrestling again! The former-WWE-Superstar-turned-WWE-commentator is back in the ring. So Riley fans, rejoice! Read more about it here. You can also read Riley's comments on his comeback here. So does this mean we'll be seeing him more often in the ring? No word on that yet, but I know that his fans can't wait for it to happen.

Riley's opponent in this NXT TV taping was CJ Parker.

  1. Well, firstly, according to Cagematch, he's had an incredible 524(!) matches since 2007. He had about a 10 month hiatus between July 2013 and May 2014. He's had 11 matches since, 6 in 2015. He's lost 62% of his contests, overall. He's 1/6 this year. The win was versus CJ Parker on 2/12.

His biggest rival is Michael McGillicuddy aka Curtis Axel. He faced him 45 times, winning 55%. For some wrestlers that a whole career right there!

Of those he's faced in double-digits, he's been most successful against Curt Hawkins aka Brian Myers, 12-6.

He's been generally trashed by lots of guys. Double-digit rivals to whom he's lost at least 90% of the time include R-Truth, Randy Orton, John Morrison, Tyson Kidd, Ezekiel Jackson, Ryback, Santino Marella, Evan Bourne, Kofi Kingston, Mason Ryan, Sheamus, Chris Masters, Cody Rhodes, and Mike Henry.

I think the most interesting matches may be those he won against competition that usually beat him. That includes: Dolph Ziggler, Jindar Mahal, John Morrison, Tyson Kidd, Ezekiel Jackson, and Ryback.

  9. I'm glad he's back too! I found out about him kinda late and actually wasn't that impressed when I first saw him. But he grew on me and I realized what a hot piece of ass he really was and got inspired to write about what a great jobber he was:
