If you've always wanted to see former WWE tag team champions Sylvain Grenier and Rene Dupree team up in the ring again, today is your lucky day. La Resistance reunited early this month at a WrestlePro event held in Keyport, New Jersey. Grenier, now 40, and Dupree, 33, joined indie wrestler Mario Bokara to face Jos A Fernandez, Jos B Fernandez, and Nikos Rikos in a three-man tag team match. Le Resistance and Bokara did not win the bout, but it was nice seeing Grenier and Dupree together again. (All photos by Richard Strickland)

One of my favorite tag teams in WWE history! Unfortunately, they were terribly underutilized by the awful WWE writers, and their gimmick was terminated way too quickly. The "anti-American French" angle is still applicable to this day -- perhaps moreso now than in the Bush era!
ReplyDeleteThey still look fantastic. Hope this match is on YouTube so I can watch it in full. Greiner still looks like a million dollars.
ReplyDeleteI guess the dollar has be seriously devalued.
DeleteDupree is still ripped as fuck. But Grenier's gorgeous body grabs most of my attention.
ReplyDeleteResistance is futile -- I have been assimilated. tt
