Back in the early to mid 1990s, a "cowboy-brother" tag team called The Smoking Gunns caught my attention when I first saw them on a WWE telecast. Well, to be honest, only one of the cowboys caught my eye, the dark-haired "Marlboro Man" one. Bart Gunn, born Mike Polchlopek, wrestled for WWE alongside his "brother" Billy and in singles competition from 1993 to 1996. In 1998, he joined NWA where he teamed up with Bob Holly. He returned to WWE in 1999 and won the "Brawl for All" tournament, a real competition where the winners were not pre-determined. Polchlopek also wrestled in Japan as Mike Barton. There's a whole channel on YouTube devoted to Bart Gunn; check it out
here.

When Bart Gunn appeared on a Raw reunion special a couple years ago, in a legends battle royale, it was shocking--Bart, and Steve Blackman, both looked better than ever!
ReplyDeleteBased on that last picture, I think Bart still looks hot. Especially wearing those glasses.
ReplyDeleteThe Smoking Gunns were my favorite tag team wrestlers.
ReplyDeleteBart was so hot. I still love watching his matches. He fills those jeans perfectly.
