The Trunks Are Back

Remember how disappointed we were when Vic Capri switched from trunks to tights? There were a couple of theories as to why he did this. I posited that he may have had something added to his thigh tattoo that some fans would find offensive or that perhaps, as a dad in his mid-40s, he felt a need to cover up. Someone in the Comments section said that the new gear was because Capri had adopted a "luchador" persona and that a mask and tights are pretty standard in Lucha Libre. I believe this last theory is correct. But anyway, the good news is, Capri's trunks are back! Here's Vic, the new SSW Champion, in pics from SSW's "Best In The Midwest 2016 : 13th Anniversary Event" held last May 29th. You can check out the results of the event here.

Here's Capri's previous look.

  1. I knew this was happening ;)

But yeah, it's great to see him in all his glory. I'm turned on as I'm writing this haha.

    1. Wish he'd permanently doff the red gaiters with yellow trim. I may just be overly sensitive to any element of a photo which draws my attention from an asset (skin/legs/boots) and leads me to focus distractedly elsewhere. Even so, Capri gets 4.0 woofs out of 5.0. TT

    2. His kickpads don't bother me (like the color combination), but, yes, I would prefer all black. The wrestlers generally go overboard on the matching trunks, knee/elbow/kickpads, which, yes, distracts and trivializes. I guess that is part of the campiness of pro wrestling. Anon.

    3. I agree, Eli. But I preferred his old trunks and pads. Black is sexy but it also looks serious, like wearing a dark suit for business. He's still amazingly good-looking.

    4. Interesting observation about the legs. I guess I'd prefer them black too, though I don' mind his fire crotch now haha.

I agree I'm not a fan of the tatts on his arm. I like the one on his back though and his thigh one makes me think dirty thoughts.

    5. One ought not to wish this on a good man and fine wrestler, but maybe we'll see him stripped once again by a playful and mischievous opponent! I know - it's a very unworthy thought. All the same...

  2. Hooray! As it turns out, the only "offensive" tattoos are those ugly things creeping down his arm. Stop Vic! Stop! Anon.
