Longtime contributor to this blog David emailed me two sets of match photos he took at a recent event. Yes, that's Robert "Bobby" Roode in the first set of pics and Austin Aries in the second, and no, this was not taken at a TNA event, but at rival company NXT's show. That's right, Roode and Aries have been signed to NXT and if they go over with the WWE fans, we might just be seeing them at RAW or SmackDown soon. Thanks to David for these amazing action pics!

Set # 1 - Bobby Roode |

Recognize Roode's opponent? It's Shane Haste. |

Set # 2 - Austin Aries |
Bravo, Bruno. Pix ##7&8 lead me to think that Roode is enrolled in the Alex Riley school of suffering: whereas, #18 is also inspired by Alex. Ares's legs are splayed wide open, very erotically so. Who is Aries' opponent in #13. His foto would rank right up top had he a slightly more chiseled body.
ReplyDeleteThanks be to David.

Mojo Rawley.
DeleteThank you David and Bruno for getting these pics up! Something else is "up" too. Sorry, couldn't resist.
ReplyDeleteI agree pic 18 is an absolutely delicious pic of Aries. The things I would love to do to him in that pic. I'm curious who his opponent is too and why he has a blue x marked under his leg. I can think of it as a target for all sorts of things with my dirty mind.
Now I know I'm being picky, but Roode's hot factor has dropped a bit now and I'm not sure exactly why. I thought he always had a beard, but now I see that's different. I'm less sure of this, but I think his normally sensuous beefy body has slimmed down a bit too? It might just be the lighting too because I felt that Aries also went down a slight bit in hotness. Maybe their bodies are less oiled. Hmmm ...
I was going to ask who the handsome face in the first pic's background was, but I gather it's Mikey Nicholls. I'm still sad Shane Haste has become thinner, but there is some consolation he is suffering beautifully in Roode's still meaty arms.
Prediction, though I may not live to see whether it transpires: Aires will follow in the steps of, say, Sheamus, and be a wild WWE "success," and Roode will follow after Riley, Rhodes, Ziggler and several other comely but muscular wrestlers onto the scrap heap of "released" wrestlers.
DeleteAnyone else "see" it??

Thanks for the pics. They're great, as always. I think Roode is as hot as ever. I've liked him for a really long time.
ReplyDeleteAs an aside, I think it's interesting that a big TNA star goes to NXT, not WWE. Shows how the hierarchy works.
Well, AJ Styles did go direct to WWE although he's an exception. Before NXT, TNA, and before they were bought, wrestlers went directly to WWE from WCW and ECW
DeleteThis is the only match involving both Roode and Thorne:
ReplyDelete25.06.2016. World Wrestling Entertainment Mojo Rawley & TM-61 (Nick Miller & Shane Thorne) defeat Bobby Roode & The Authors Of Pain (Gzim Selmani & Sunny Dhinsa)
WWE NXT Live @ Cocoa Armory in Cocoa, Florida, USA
30.06.2016 World Wrestling Entertainment Austin Aries defeats Mojo Rawley

I follow Japanese wrestling, and I'm not sure if I am the only one who feel this way, but I find Shane Haste and TMDK exceptionally bland, despite how good they usually look. Hope they manage to do something a bit more interesting with WWE.
